Lampsy has a number of prototype units on which it is incorporating mainly electronics, software and image analysis. You can make a purchase reservation now, with delivery scheduled for October 2024. Specifications

 

Yes, a Lampsy vehicle has three suspension hardnesses depending on the weight of the driver: up to 70 Kg (154 lb), from 70 Kg (154 kb) to 90 Kg (200 lb), and from 90 Kg (200 lb) to 130 Kg (287 lb). Lampsy vehicles are not intended for drivers weighing more than 130 kg (287 lb), nor are they designed to carry more than one person. You can select the hardness of the suspension in the booking process of our online store on our website.

Each country, or city, has different regulations in this regard. Depending on this your Lampsy vehicle will be configured at the factory to meet your city’s regulations. The maximum speed of the vehicle, by design, is 45 km/h (28 mph).

As with any urban vehicle, a Lampsy scooter is designed to withstand rain, passing through puddles, splashes, as well as a gentle wash with a damp cloth. It is not designed to withstand the direct and strong spray of a high pressure hose. A torrential rain for several minutes could result in water ingress. For elementary safety reasons, it is strongly inadvisable to ride the scooter when it is raining or the ground is wet. The degree of protection by design against dust and water is IP54.

A Lampsy vehicle is a connected vehicle. It has two connections: one Bluetooth, which connects to the user’s smartphone, or to the Lampsy App; and another 3G/4G connection, which is used for remote tracking (configurable by the user), downloading information or remotely controlling the vehicle through the App. Therefore, through the Lampsy App it is possible to have full communication with the vehicle, and retrieve from it all the information of interest.

A Lampsy vehicle has a remote locking system, accessible from the Lampsy App. Since the vehicle has a 3G/4G SIM and a GALILEO/GPS receiver, it can be accessed remotely by sending a lock command from the App. This command will cause the complete blocking of the vehicle as long as it is stationary at that moment. If the vehicle is not stationary, it will receive the blocking command and, once it has been stationary for more than 30 seconds, it will be blocked. In remote locking situation a Lampsy vehicle will send to the Lampsy App its position periodically. The unlocking of the vehicle can only be done with the legitimate App of the owner, or in an authorized Lampsy center, provided that sufficient credentials are provided by the person driving the vehicle.

A Lampsy vehicle has three driving modes: ECO, NORMAL and SPORT. Depending on the driving environment, battery charge, road gradients, expected torque, road conditions, etc., the driver can select the most appropriate mode. Lampsy is an urban vehicle, designed to move on asphalt, or on dirt roads with more caution. It is not designed for competition or offroad use. The driver must understand that he is driving a vehicle, so his responsibility is very important.

Lampsy recommends using its vehicles between -10ºC and 40ºC (14ºF and 104ºF) of ambient temperature in the shade. Lithium-ion batteries suffer a decrease in capacity at low temperatures. Driving the vehicle outside these conditions may lead to low performance, or inability to start the vehicle due to the protections included. A Lampsy vehicle should not be left in the sun in summer for more than one hour, as this will cause it to age faster. Overheating of the electronics after a long time in the sun could result in the protection system preventing it from starting, until the interior temperature drops. Parking in our house and charging the battery is important to be done under cover if the temperature drops below 8ºC (46ºF) or rises above 28ºC (82ºF).

A Lampsy vehicle is very sophisticated, incomparable to any other scooter, and therefore requires maintenance actions. Under normal circumstances a Lampsy scooter should be serviced at an authorized repair shop or dealer at least once a year, or every 1,000 Kms. If the driving conditions impose greater stress on the vehicle, additional adjustments may be necessary.

Opening or tampering with the scooter internally, or taking it to repair shops not authorized by Lampsy, apart from being very dangerous for the owner and third parties, automatically leads to loss of warranty and subsequent refusal of official service. Lampsy cannot be held responsible for vehicles that have been opened by the customer or third parties, or that have been tampered with, or on which technical interventions have been made to increase their performance.

Lampsy uses 10 inch tires (25.4 mm), but the supply and replacement of these must be done in repair shops or dealers authorized by the manufacturer.

Orders

You can already make a purchase reservation on our website, with delivery scheduled for October 2024. If you belong to a country of the European Union the sale and delivery is very simple. We start our commercialization in cities of the European Union, but in the following months we will cover other cities, as our commercial network grows and we reach agreements with local distributors.

The base price of the scooter is marked in the online store on our website, and includes almost all safety and comfort elements. Accessories are the veneered wood floor, the owner’s name plate, vegan leather grips and the image and hazard recognition option. These options can be added to the purchase as extras, and are priced in the online store.

Only the manufacturer, Lampsy, and authorized dealers have spare parts, which are not available for sale outside this channel. If your Lampsy scooter needs to be serviced, either for warranty or other reasons, the assistance must be provided by Lampsy, or the local distributor in your area. Opening or tampering with the scooter internally, or taking it to repair shops not authorized by Lampsy, apart from being very dangerous for the owner and third parties, automatically leads to loss of warranty and subsequent refusal of official service. Lampsy cannot be held responsible for vehicles that have been opened by the customer or third unauthorized parties, or that have been tampered with, or on which technical interventions have been made to increase their performance.

Delivery

The scooter will arrive properly packaged at your local dealer, if there is one near you. If not, the scooter will be delivered directly to your home. The instruction manual will tell you how to proceed (first battery charge, configuration, getting to know your vehicle, first ride, etc).

Warranty

The warranty period of a Lampsy vehicle is two years from the moment of reception. In this period the customer will enjoy the provisions of the law.

Payment and financing

Currently the payment for a Lampsy vehicle is cash, prior to shipment to the customer. It is possible that Lampsy may enter into an agreement with a finance company to provide payment facilities. This will be published in due course on our website.

The amount of the vehicle must be paid in full prior to shipment. 

Reservations are now open for European customers. You can make a reservation for your Lampsy vehicle through a simple setup and payment procedure, detailed in the online store of our website. If you wish, you have 14 days to cancel your reservation for any reason.

The reservation implies the payment of 500 euros + VAT. Please read the “Terms and Conditions” section at the bottom of this page for more details.

The final price (excluding taxes) is shown when configuring the vehicle. The base price of the vehicle, without special options, is marked in the online store.

As of today the expected delivery date of the product is: OCTOBER 2024.

Once the reservation is made you will receive an email with all the information and terms and conditions. We will contact you when we start manufacturing your vehicle, and in any circumstance of interest. We will always be at your side at: hello@lampsy-mobility.com

When your vehicle goes into production we will send you an email detailing the terms and conditions of the sales contract. At the moment your vehicle starts to be manufactured you will have to pay an initial amount of 40% of the price, and the remaining 60% will have to be paid when your vehicle is ready for shipment. We will send you information about this, as well as the steps to follow, once we have received your reservation request. Thank you for your reservation.

You have 14 days after making the reservation to back out, for any reason, in which case the deposit will be returned. After this period it is not possible to return the deposit that guarantees the reservation.

Lampsy will keep you promptly informed of the dates of start of production, end of production and shipment of your vehicle. If the delivery is made to an authorized dealer near you, you will be able to go to the dealer to receive your vehicle and the dealer’s explanations. If there is no local dealer near you, the delivery will be made to your home address. The instruction manual will tell you how to proceed (first battery charge, configuration, getting to know your vehicle, first trip, etc.).
